The process of turning our star into a supernova, which will happen in about 5-6 billion years, it will be much more colorful and spectacular for the Solar system than previously thought. For example, the asteroid Belt is not destined to burn in the flame expanded to the stars, instead they “overnight” – only a million years will disintegrate into dust. It will be a magical sight when the space around the Sun will fill the space clouds rich in dust composition.

The cause of death of the asteroids in the effect of Yarkovsky-O ‘ Keefe-the Radzievskiy-of Padaca (YORP), a rather complex phenomenon, which is understood four scientists. In a very simplified form, it is that as the heating light from the star asteroids will accumulate thermal energy, which then is chaotic escape. This will provoke the same chaotic acceleration will cause the outer body to vary, divert it from orbit and thrown into the Sun.

The YORP effect we are seeing now, for example, of the falling of the Sun asteroids, but he is weak – because the star shines exactly. However, after 5 billion years, before turning into a supernova, the glow of the Sun will increase by 1,000-10,000 times. Asteroids will start to overheat so quickly that they will fall apart in the air, turning into dust. Dwarf planets are not threatened, they have a high density of the material, but loose, full of voids asteroids will disappear very quickly-in a million years.

Today, with the observation already extinct white dwarfs astronomers notice faint traces of metals, in which the stars appear out of nowhere. This is “asteroid dust”, the dust partially settled after a supernova explosion on the remains of the former star. The effect is observed at least in a quarter of cases, from which we can conclude that the concentration of asteroids in different stellar systems is very different.
