The state Agency of highways (“Ukravtodor”) intends to upgrade the highway M-05 Kiev — Odessa motorway, thanks to capital and medium repairs.
This was stated by head of “Ukravtodor” Slawomir Novak during a working meeting on the verification of capital and current repairs on the road of state importance M-05, reports “Economic truth”.
“This year, we will conduct capital and average repair of M-05 at the site of the White Church to the border of Kiev region at the expense of the Road Fund, EBRD and EIB. Due to the program GO Highway have already begun the repair of the corridor in the Cherkassy region — from the borders to the South… Our goal is to improve this road to the highway,” — said Novak.
According to him, this year, Ukravtodor plans to continue work on the construction of a bridge across the Khadzhibey estuary, which were frozen in 2008. The contract with the winner of the tender has already been signed.

In addition, in 2020 the company thoroughly engaged in the parts of the route from Uman to Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson.
In “Ukravtodor” reported that the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian and the head of the State Agency of automobile roads Slawomir Nowak inspected the start of work on the site 128-143 km, where the contractor began milling asphalt pavement. Work in this area is planned to be completed by October this year.

Motor road of state importance M-05 Kiev — Odessa is part of the international transport corridor E95 Helsinki — Kiev — Odessa — Dimitrovgrad — Alexandroupolis. The track has a total length of 504.6 km and passes through Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and Odessa region.
Recall that in September last year, Novak said that Ukraine since the beginning of 2018 was a new reform — decentralization of local roads. This means that 70.5% of roads (local roads) passed into the control of local authorities. In the management of Ukravtodor and regional Services roads remained 29.5% of roads of national importance.
