According to the publication, the new company will own and manage a small part of the pipeline in German waters, and the rest of the pipeline (almost 1200 km) will remain under the control of the operator outside the jurisdiction of the European Union, writes liga.net.

How the newspaper notes that such measures would undermine adopted by the European Union last month the decision to change the gas Directive of the third energy package.

The project “Northern stream-2” involves the construction of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas off the coast of Russia through the Baltic sea to Germany. The construction cost is estimated at 9.5 billion euros. By the beginning of March to the Baltic sea laid 818 km of gas pipelines.
