MK3 – one of the few truly useful gadgets for the adventurous

Startup R2GEAR MK3 introduced “Smart gadget for travellers 5-in-1”. It combines radio (works in conjunction with a smartphone), emergency beacon, Bluetooth speaker, led flashlight and stylus. This gadget is not afraid of water, bumps and allows you to keep the smartphone of its owner from any harm.

To use his MK3, you just have to pair with your phone via Bluetooth. The phone can be removed to a safe place in the depths of the backpack and use it instead of the MK3. When an incoming call just press the button of the gadget and talk while continuing to do their business. Both hands of the user remain free. Also, the MK3 has a PTT function, which allows you to use it as a walkie-talkie (that is to say only while pressing the call button).

The emergency beacon allows one button push to send text messages with your GPS coordinates to selected contacts list stored in your smartphone.

When MK3 is not required to play the role of a lifesaving gadget, it can become a portable wireless speaker. If at this time you will receive an incoming call, the device will automatically stop playback and return to him as soon as the call is over.

Function of LED flashlight and stylus requires no explanation, it is sufficient to mention that the MK3 has a lamp brightness of 150 lumens and can run 24 hours on a single charge. MK3 has a water resistance to IP67 standard (not afraid of rain or snow, but should avoid diving under water) and is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 1200 mAh. Delivery of the gadget will begin in March 2018 and the price will be about $ 90.
