KIEV. April 23. UNN. The European Commission decided to provide Ukraine 1.2 billion euros to combat coronavirus. These funds will help to mitigate the effects of the pandemic. About it in the video, said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, reports UNN.
“Also today I want to note the decision of the European Commission to provide Ukraine with assistance to counter the coronavirus in the amount of 1.2 billion euros. These are important tools that can ensure macro-financial stability in our country and will mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic on citizens,” said Zelensky.
He also hopes that this decision will be approved by the European Parliament and the EU Council.
“I’m sure it will be another signal of a strong friendship and partnership of Europe with Ukraine,” – said Zelensky.
As reported UNN, the European Commission adopted the decision on granting financial assistance in the amount of 3 billion euros of ten neighboring States, allowing them to limit the economic damage of a pandemic coronavirus. Ukraine on the basis of a preliminary assessment of financing needs to 1.2 billion euros.
