Russia is trying to impose on the world a new interpretation and
the revision history of the XX century and the Second world war in particular. This was stated by the President of France Emmanuel macron during
his lecture at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, reports the edition
“European truth”.

During the lectures macron ranked Russian
Federation to a number of other countries that are trying to rewrite history
The second world war. The French leader noted that Russia
once again attempts to blame Poland and several other European
countries in the outbreak of the Second world war.

As other similar examples, the macron mentioned “Polish attempts to erase
1989 and the story of liberty” (across
visibility refers to the parliamentary elections of 4 and 18
June 1989, considered the first democratic elections in
post-war Poland). Also the macron said and Hungarian attempts
revision history of the twentieth century.

“We must build a common European memory. I see
in Poland, there is a temptation to cross out the date, 1989. In Hungary
there is an approach to the rewriting of history of the XX century. Russia would like new
to interpret the Second world war and to blame the Polish nation,” said
the French President.

It should be noted that heated debates and discussions in Polish and
Russian sides regarding the reasons for and the outcome of the Second world war do not cease
since the end of last year. Both sides accuse each other of starting this
cruel and the bloodiest armed conflict in the history of the twentieth century and mankind in General.
While both parties agree and the rating values of the liberation
Of Poland By The Red Army.

Europe and the world community agree that
the reason for the outbreak of the Second world war was the signing of the so-called Covenant
The Molotov – Ribbentrop Pact on 23 August 1939 and subsequent partition of Poland between
Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Russia, in turn, strongly disagree
with this assessment of those events, arguing that other European
countries, including Poland, have signed such documents. The Russian
side notes that the Soviet Union was the last European state, which
went to the signing of the agreement on non-aggression with Germany.

Anyway, the story is already written, so
French President Emmanuel macron stressed that such attempts
revision can be quite dangerous.

“I see there is a risk of spraying our history through her
review. We will build Europe, knowing her history, protecting it from all attempts
tampering or rewriting no matter which country or party
he is the author of such fraud,” – concluded the President of France.

Earlier we reported on how Russian politician Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the words of President Vladimir Zelensky that the USSR and Nazi Germany together started the Second world war and for nearly two years cooperated with each other, called them “an insult from the perspective of our grandfathers.”
