Wounded mayor of Gdansk had surgery and still in critical condition

KIEV. 14 Jan. UNN. Doctors operated on the mayor of Gdansk Pavel Adamovich, who was stabbed during a charity concert. As have informed journalists on Monday the doctor Tomasz Stefaniak, who carried out the operation, the status of the mayor is critical, reports UNN with reference to the broadcast of the newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.

“The mayor still alive, though his condition is very, very difficult,” he said.

According to the doctor, the operation lasted five hours. Had to pour a lot of blood.

“The damage was very severe: serious injury of heart, injury of the diaphragm, wounds of the organs inside the abdomen. The next few hours will decide everything,” said Stefanac.

The publication also separately published a report on what local residents gather outside the hospital, also to a medical facility arrived the local Archbishop.

The incident happened during a charity event “the Great orchestra of Christmas charity”, which in Poland every year to collect funds to help medical institutions. The event, held in all cities of Poland, concludes with a concert.
