Several hundred women in yellow vests gathered in Central Paris to hold another protest rally.

According to TASS, the protesters sang the Marseillaise on the steps of the Opera Bastille, holding yellow balloons. After that they went to the Republic square. Also women dressed in yellow vests, took to the streets of the city of Montceau-Les-Mines in the East of the country.

According to the organizers, the women’s campaign “yellow jackets” we must convey to the French authorities the idea of protest. As noted by one of the participants of the campaign, the media mostly reports of acts of violence by “yellow jackets”, and these messages lost the essence of the problems they are trying to pay attention.

Protests of the “yellow jackets” began in France in mid-November. They were held on Saturdays. At first, people opposed the increase in fuel prices. However, over time the movement began to Express dissatisfaction with the actions of the authorities in General and especially insufficient, from their point of view, using the state’s poorest citizens.

Disturbances occur in particular in the area of Champs Elysees and the Trocadero, after which the French authorities made concessions to the “yellow jackets,” refusing to raise taxes on gasoline. In addition, the French presidency Emmanuel macron announced a series of measures to improve the socio-economic situation of French citizens. So, he said that in 2019 in France on 100 euros will be increased monthly minimum wage, measures to improve security retirement, work overtime will be paid without levying taxes.

December 30, France swept the seventh wave of demonstrations, “yellow jackets” now, in addition to the abolition of the tariff increase on motor fuels and the introduction of the tax moratorium, demanding the resignation of the head of state and “referendums by civil initiative” for the approval of new laws.

On 4 January the French guards, using tear gas, were able to thwart the attempt of protesters to block road access to two storage tanks in the vicinity of Toulouse. 5 Jan swept the country, the eighth wave of protests that in many cities, including in Paris, were accompanied by arson and clashes of protesters with the police.
