In Kyiv city state administration (KCSA) has banned the conduct of any works on site Baikove cemetery, which is contrary to the law of Ukraine “On protection of cultural heritage”.
As reported the UNIAN in a press-service KGGA, the relevant regulation, the Department of cultural heritage sent to the address of ritual service specialized municipal enterprise “Specialized complex enterprise kommunalno-consumer services” (subject to the KSCA).
The document notes that the company within 10 days of receipt of the notice shall submit to the Department of scientific-project documentation on carrying out of urgent restoration works fencing, and provide to the Department of scientific and design documentation for the performed works on replacement of the fence.

“Information on the harmonization of relevant scientific and project documentation on work with the Ministry of culture and granting permission to conduct the relevant work in the Department is absent. Given the foregoing, the owner of the object requested with the relevant pamjatnika security requirements. We inform you about the measures appropriate response” – said in a letter to the Department of cultural heritage protection of the Ministry of culture.
According to media reports, Specialized complex enterprise of public utilities has announced a tender for Prozorro to replace brick fence Baikove cemetery on the tile.
The contractor shall disassemble the walls around the cemetery and replace asphalt paths. Expected repair cost – 22 million. The contractor shall conduct the work in the next year. The tender is scheduled for August 23.
