Following the meeting of the Bureau of the Presidium of the all-Russian athletics Federation (vfla), the organization made a statement relative to the position of World Athletics on the results of the Russian athletes neutral status only after payment of organization of a fine in the amount of $5 million in the period up to 1 July.

“The refusal to grant neutral status to the Russian athletes in the case of nonpayment of wfla penalty is a flagrant violation of sporting principles and the rights of clean athletes, discrimination against Russian athletes, many of whom are the pride of the world athletics family,” the statement said.
Of the club stressed that Russian athletes should have the opportunity to obtain neutral status and to participate in international competitions, regardless of the situation with the payment of a fine of wfla in World Athletics.
“The penalty should be borne by the Federation and not the net, constantly tested for doping, have passed a rigorous and stringent selection athletes”, — summed up in wfla.
World Athletics fined the club $5 million and $5 million on probation for the involvement of the former leadership of the Federation led by Vladimir Lehtinen to falsification of documents in doping case of the silver medalist of the world championship in the high jump Daniel Lysenko. The fine must be paid before 1 July.
Earlier it was reported that World Athletics would not give, wfla delay in the payment of the fine.
