In the center of Minsk was held an unauthorized action of protest after the refusal of the Central election Commission of Belarus to register Victor Babariko and Valery Tsepkalo as presidential candidates. This writes the Sputnik of Belarus.

It is noted that against this decision of the CEC in social networks there were calls for protests. Some residents of the Belarusian capital then left on Independence Avenue.

The police have detained some of the participants.

The interior Ministry of Belarus said about the inadmissibility of participation in illegal mass events. The Department stated that the police will take all measures to maintain public order and prevent unlawful actions.

“Any provocations will be prevented in accordance with the current legislation”, — said the Agency.

As reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the unregistered Belarusian authorities human rights center “Viasna”, in Belarus only at an unsanctioned protest on July 14 detained more than 100 people.

Earlier, election Commission of Belarus has registered five candidates for presidential elections.
