Under the Odessa SIZO was going to rally against beating of prisoners

Under walls of the Odessa prison, which had previously been murdered this officer, held an impromptu rally against acts of intimidation, allegedly carried out against detainees. It is reported by the Duma.

The action was attended by several dozen people, including relatives of prisoners and activists of various public organizations.

They claim that the prisoners were beaten specially brought from other regions of Ukraine the personnel of the penitentiary system.

People require the administration companies to stop acts of intimidation. According to the publication, no one comes out.

However, according to the report, the press Secretary of the Deputy head of Ministry of justice Yury Maslak has denied the information about the acts of intimidation in prison.

“First of all, I would like to say that violence with violence we will not talk about it, never planned, and it is not our methods. I don’t know who is the original source of this information but you are misinformed … Yesterday at the scene continued to work as law enforcement … Yeah, was reinforced by the regime, but to strengthen the regime – not to mock people,” he said.

According to him, as a result of searches of detainees of the detention center there were a lot of banned items – mobile phones, sharpening and so on.

As writes “the newspaper, the information about the beating came from several sources, including the priest of the UOC-KP Dmitry Krasnobaeva and ex-con Alexander Orlov. Informants Duma in the prison have confirmed that such actions took place.

Previously a priest of the UOC-KP, which performs in the Odessa SIZO functions of a chaplain, reportedthat the institution riot police beat the detainees.

August 17, around 19:00 the police received the message that in Odessa prison employee has disappeared. After several hours of search her dismembered body was discovered in a dumpster on-site detention facility.

The prisoner, murder suspect, lived in the utility room and in his cell was not more than a month, while he had illegal access to piercing and cutting items.
