Under Ternopil on suspicion of extortion detained lawyer

In the Ternopol area detained the lawyer, who is suspected of extorting bribes in the amount of 71 thousand UAH from the businessman. It is reported by the speaker of the Prosecutor General Andrei Lysenko Facebook.

“For the money they promised him not to interfere in construction in the regional center of the object a small architectural form (kiosk). Otherwise, the owner threatened the destruction of personal property,” – said in the message.

The Prosecutor’s office of Ternopil region together with employees of management of Ternopil Department of homeland security, the national police of Ukraine detained the lawyer of the former employee of the police, who, along with two community activists suspected of money extortion.

The investigation in criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 189 of UK of Ukraine (extortion on preliminary arrangement by group of persons).

Earlier today reported that after receipt of unlawful benefit in the amount equivalent to the 2200$ was detained by the investigator of one of regional departments of police of Kiev region and the lawyer.
