Ukraine since the beginning of 2019 as of January 21, completely exhausted quotas for duty-free exports to the European Union of honey, grape and Apple juice, as well as basic and additional quotas for maize, informed the press-service of Association “Ukrainian club of agrarian business”.

“As of January 21, Ukraine closed the quota for duty-free exports to the European Union of honey, grape and Apple juices, as well as basic and additional quotas for corn,” – said in the message.

The press service noted, in comparison with the similar period of 2018 is observed that the acceleration of the closure of quotas for processed starch, sugar, malt and wheat fiber, which are already closed at 17%, 38% and 44%.

At the same time, in comparison with last year the situation has changed with the supply of processed tomatoes within the quota. The experts noted that these quotas as of 21 January used only for 3%, while last year as of this same date they were used on 11%.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Ministry of agrarian policy, the export of agricultural and food products from Ukraine to European countries in 2017 increased by more than 37%, or $ 1.6 billion, and amounted to $ 5.8 billion.
