U.S. General Hodges, three years carry on backpack blue-yellow ribbon

Commander of the US army in Europe Frederick “Ben” Hodges for three years wears the blue-yellow ribbon on your backpack. He told about it during the Lviv security forum, reports Yevropravda.

According to Hodges, three years ago they were sent on exercises in the Yavoriv and spent a few hours in Lviv.

“We went out in the city centre, and then we suddenly came some of the elderly woman and asked who we are. With me was a colleague, Lithuanian military, he helped with the translation. I replied that we were from NATO, and it is, as soon as I heard this, burst into tears,” – said the military.

“She thanked us for the assistance that NATO has provided Ukraine, said how important it is. And then removed from his bag the tape and gave it to me. Since then – for three years – this tape is always with me,” said the commander.

As noted, for three years in the post Ben Hodges was in Ukraine almost a dozen times.

Earlier it was reportedthat U.S. army General urged Russia to invite the media to dispel doubts about the scale of military exercises in Belarus, the West-2017.
