Two Sri Lankans arrested for a bribe cardboard policeman

Two residents of Sri Lanka was under arrest for comic video about the bribe cardboard police, reports the BBC. In the video, the motorcyclist pulls up to a cardboard figure with a smile and hands her the money.
A young man and his friend, who acted as the operator, was accused of defacing public property, and also in humiliation and create a negative image of the police. Both were later released on bail, the amount of which is not called.
Cardboard cops have been placed along major roads of Sri Lanka last year to reduce the number of cases of recklessness and dangerous driving. A few months ago two young men were arrested for stealing a cardboard figure.
According to the international organization Transparency International, police is one of the most corrupt agencies of Sri Lanka. Last week two officers were arrested after a viral video in which they allegedly received bribes near the presidential office, located next to the main police Department of Sri Lanka.
The head of traffic police of the country of Rohan Ajit in the past year, said that the Agency is taking steps to punish offenders, and urged the public to complain against such corrupt officials.
