Twitter found a few thousand new accounts to “Troll factory”
Uncategorized January 20, 2018Twitter found a few of the thousands of accounts that are managed from Russia and used during the presidential campaign in the United States in 2016. About it reports Deutsche Welle.
The number of such accounts increased to 3814. They had sent about 176 thousand messages.
Twitter e-mail alert about 678 thousand of users who read these accounts, sent on messages, or noted their “like”.
The tweets that were sent from these accounts, as a rule, aggravate conflicts between political and ethnic groups in the United States.
Also Twitter has found a new 13500 automatic accounts that were used for wider dissemination of information.
All accounts associated with the “Agency of Internet research”, which is known as a “Troll factory” – one of the companies that affect public opinion on social networks in the interests of the Russian authorities.
Russia has repeatedly denied accusations of attempts to influence U.S. elections.
Earlier, US Ambassador to the UN said that the denial by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin intervention is simply an attempt to “save face”.
