In Odessa on Monday, November 19, arrived two assault boats of the type “centaur”, which recently launched the Kiev factory “Workshop on rybalskaya”.

“To continue testing to Odessa there arrived new assault boats 58503 (centaur). There will be continued testing of new units built PJSC “Plant of the Forge on the Rybalsky” by order of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine, the naval forces of Ukraine”, – said the head of the Department of shipbuilding of the Navy command of Ukraine Vasiliy Radchuk.

According to him, the boats made a successful transition to their own engines from Kiev to Odessa, and now they will be equipped with additional equipment and organized sea trials in the sea and go to the stage of state tests.

As said Radchuk, during the construction of the boats were modernized: they installed some new system which will now be tested for functionality separately, and as part of the ship.
To command the two boats will be recent graduates of the Odessa Institute of naval forces.
RISK “centaur” developed by the enterprise “Issledovatelsko-the design center of shipbuilding” (Nikolaev). Is a further development of a line of armoured boats “Gyurza” and “Gyurza-M”, in comparison with which has advanced features to perform special tasks.
