Three people were injured in three days during the “acid attacks” in the Paris metro

One person was seriously injured in an attack with acid in the metro of Paris. About it reports the portal The Local.

The incident occurred around 07:00 Paris time (09:00 GMT) on 1 line of the Moscow metro stations between “Bastille” and “Gare de Lyon”. During the altercation that occurred between two passengers, one of them splashed acid in another.

The victim, a young man aged 20 years, received severe burns of face and hands and was hospitalized in critical condition. The assailant fled from the crime scene, conducted his search. A substance used in the attack, is investigated in the laboratory. A police source told newspaper Le Figaro that he could not yet confirm whether the liquid that splashed out on the passenger, with acid.

Another similar incident occurred in the evening of 11 metro lines: unknown poured sulphuric acid on the folding seat and the floor of the train station. According to Le Parisien, the incident occurred after the passenger got on the train at the station “Place de Fêtes”, and sat down on the seat, felt the sharp burn of the thighs. Getting up, she saw the bottle of brownish liquid and melted the bottom. The man who witnessed this scene, tried to move the bottle and received burns to the hands.

Both victims reported the incident to the engineer at the station “Arts et Métiers” and was taken to the hospital. As it turned out during the tests, the liquid in the bottle was sulfuric acid: the police finds out, whether the bottle is left in the subway accidentally or intentionally. Are these two incidents together, though unknown.
