Apple introduced in iOS 14 a useful feature which shows a special indicator on your iPhone or iPad every time any app uses the microphone or camera. This allows you to know exactly when your gadget captures photos and videos – even if he doesn’t have to do this.

In the Android ecosystem there are many applications, which over the years has been seen several times for such behavior. If you want to take the activity of the smartphone under control, you will need a special application like Access Dots.

This is a free app that shows a simple point in your chosen corner of the screen when another app activates the microphone or the phone’s camera. If you see green or orange dot, check the list of running applications and determine which of them is engaged in wiretapping.

At the moment Access Dots not showing the name of the application that intercepted the access the camera or microphone. It’s possible that the developers will add this feature in future updates. The app is available in Play Store, open all of the functionality in the free version. A small donation to the developers will unlock some customization options, like point size and position on the screen.
