The USS will be in Odessa until December 2

KIEV. 29 Nov. UNN. American destroyer USS James E. Williams (DDG-95), which arrived today on a visit to Odessa will continue their visit until 2 December, reports UNN citing the press center of the Navy command of the armed forces of Ukraine.

“Today, November 29 in the port of Odessa visited the U.S. Navy ship USS James E. Williams (DDG-95). Roughly the visit will last until 2 December,” — said in the message.

So, at the command of the naval forces of Ukraine attach great importance to the visit of the American ship and regard it as the continued support of the U.S. Navy.

“James Williams” refers to the later destroyers of the “Arleigh Burke”. It was commissioned in December 2004. Full load displacement — more than 9600 tons, length 155 m, width 20 m, maximum draught of 9.4 meters. Four gas turbines dispersed enemy speed up to 32 knots. In 96 launchers focused missiles “Tomahawk”, “Standard-2”, “Standard-3” and “ASROCK”, as well as anti-ship missiles “Harpoon”. On Board is a crew of 380. Aircraft armament — two helicopters.
