Vice-President Michael Penny said that the United States has revoked the visas of 77 citizens of Venezuela associated with the regime of Nicolas Maduro. About it reports Reuters.
“Today the State Department announced that the United States cancel 77 of visas, including many officials of the Maduro regime and their families,” said Pence.

The new names will be included to the current list of 49 Venezuelans whose visas were previously canceled in March.
Restrictions were imposed on individuals “responsible for undermining democracy in Venezuela.” Their names are not officially voiced.

- Mass protests began in Venezuela on the night of January 23. The initiator of the protests was the Brazilian leader of the opposition, Juan Guido who appointed himself acting President.
- The US President Donald trump was the first to recognize the legitimacy of Guido.
- Acting President Maduro Nicolas in response severed diplomatic relations with the United States.
- Russia called Maduro’s legitimate President, and said the attempt of “usurpation of power” by the opposition.
- 4 February eight European Union countries have recognized the Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guido interim President of the country.
- Advisor to the President for national security John Bolton stated that the United States plans to form a coalition with the goal of peaceful regime change in Venezuela.
