The UN General Assembly adopted the budget of the organization for two years, reports UKRINFORM.

The budget amount is $5,395 billion.

Clarifies that the Secretary General, antónio Guterres initially asked for more – $5.4 billion.

The UN budget is based on the contributions of the 193 member States of the organization. The contributions depend on the capabilities of the countries themselves, based on their GDP and income per capita. The size of one vznosa country may not exceed 22% of the total budget of the organization.

To date, the largest contributors to the UN doing the US (22%). Among the leaders in the financing of the organization of Japan (9.6 percent) and China (7.9 per cent).

13 December, the United States statedthat we need to reduce by $250 million UN budget for the 2018-2019 year.
