The trauma of the former hostages testify to the torture – Gerashchenko

As of December 29, 24 of the former hostages undergo medical examinations and rehabilitation in a military hospital. About this in his Facebook said the representative of the humanitarian sub-group of the trilateral contact group in Minsk, Irina Herashchenko.

“41 released (among them, civil and military, – ed.) in the hospital of public Affairs. Many have have chronic head injuries, broken teeth, evidence of the torture. Many had been severely beaten in the first difficult days”, – said Gerashchenko.

According to her, all will receive medical care and provided dental services.

“Also, the Ministry of social policy is working on all the technical details and to be released soon will receive a one-time cash assistance. A team of psychologists Vadim Sviridenko is also actively working with the released and their families”, – said Gerashchenko.

She stressed that Ukraine is working on the issue of implementation of the second phase of liberation of the Ukrainian hostages.
