Cinacalcet octopus inhabit the coastal waters of the Pacific ocean, their saliva contains neuroparalitical the poison tetrodotoxin, which causes muscle stiffness, nausea, vision loss, paralysis and eventually, death. There is no antidote. The victim can be saved only by artificial ventilation and cardiac massage for hours until the poison dissipates.

In the last century there were only three deaths – two in Australia and one in Singapore. This is due to the fact that the octopus they do not attack people and bite only as a “self-defense” when they come, or take in hand.
