According to prosecutors, Tarrant visited on the Balkan Peninsula in 2016. The Aussie drove through Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia.

It also became known that from 9 to 15 November 2018 bomber had been in Bulgaria, arriving in the country from Dubai to Sofia. In a rented car, he visited several historical sites. On 15 November the Australian went to Bucharest, where another rental car and went to Hungary.

Bulgarian prosecutors are now trying to recover the full route of the arrow.
