Uncategorized March 10, 2017KIEV. March 10. UNN. The Russian government supported the bill of the Deputy of the state Duma from “United Russia” Irina Spring on strengthening criminal punishment for incitement or inducing minors to suicide or to attempt suicide, reports UNN with reference to BBC.
The document was supported by “taking into account the comments of terminological and legal-technical character.”
The bill proposes to introduce into the criminal code the concept of “incitement” and “declination” to suicide.
Bringing to suicide of the author of the document refers to as “cruel treatment or systematic humiliation of human dignity of the victim”. The maximum punishment is eight years of imprisonment if the offence is committed against a minor, pregnant woman, group of individuals or through the Internet.
The encouragement of suicide, according to the bill, is exercised by “persuasion, proposals, bribery, fraud”. For this propose to punish by deprivation of liberty for a term up to six years. The list of potential targets – the same as in the case of incitement to suicide.
Recall that the Ukrainian cyberpolice blocked more than 500 suicidal groups in social networks and more than 200 accounts of the organizers and curators.
