The Prosecutor’s office sent to court the case of ex-head of the Odessa jail

ODESSA-KIEV. 29 Nov. UNN. The indictment against the former head of the Odessa prison, who is suspected of negligence that caused grave consequences, is directed to court. About it the correspondent of UNN reported in the press service of the Prosecutor of Odessa region.

“According to investigators, the neglect of their duties by the administration of penitentiary resulted in inadequate organization of service of subordinate employees and improper control over observance of regime requirements by object”, – noted in Department.

According to the materials of the indictment, it allowed the prisoner, who, contrary to the requirements of the law lived a long time on the economic yard of the detention center and had the free use of a prohibited knife cutting items, free to carry out their criminal intention to take the life of the employee of penal institution.

We will remind, in August of this year, the prisoner killed the employee of the Odessa SIZO: dismembered her body and threw it in the trash.
