The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrew Babish accused the Ambassador of China in the Republic of Zhang sanmina lies in the diplomat at the end of last year stating that Babish allegedly condemned the recommendation of the intelligence services for the employees of government agencies and commercial companies to abandon the use of smartphones of the Chinese company Huawei.
“It’s a lie. What did Mr. Ambassador, is very unusual [diplomatic]. With him [on this subject] will speak to Mr [Minister of foreign Affairs Czech Republic Tomasz] Peter” – said the head of the government (quoted by TASS).
As explained Babish, at the end of December he took Zhang tsarmina in an informal setting, at his residence near Prague. This meeting was held at the initiative of a Chinese diplomat after Czech intelligence services after the intelligence services and the authorities of several other countries warned about the threat from Chinese gadgets, including devices from Huawei.
Following the meeting, the Chinese diplomat said that Babish allegedly assured him that the Czech government do not share the position of special services, and expressed regret over the incident.
“That’s not true. The Czech government and the Czech government did not make any mistake. We are an independent, sovereign country. I have nothing to apologize for,” said Babish.
Recall that in early December in Canada at the request of U.S. authorities detained the chief financial officer and member of the Board of Directors of Huawei’s man, Banjo. Later she was released on bail until the court makes a decision on possible extradition of Anjou. In the United States Huawei suspected violation of the US sanctions against Iran and espionage.
In November, the U.S. government turned to key allies around the world calling for an end to the use of Huawei equipment. On 7 December it became known that the Japanese Authorities are planning to exclude the products of Huawei and ZTE from government procurement.
