The police opened a case against the driving school that issued rights to the culprit of the fatal accident in Kharkov

The police began to investigate the possible negligence of a driving school, in which there were suspected of committing a lethal road accident in the centre of Kharkov, a 20-year-old Elena Zaitseva. This was announced by the head of the investigation Department of national police Sergey Chizh, transmit Ukrainian news.

“Driving the investigation in a separate criminal proceeding,” he said.

Chizh said that the case is open under article 367 (negligence) of the Criminal code.

He also said that the extension of primary production for an accident associated with the application of the defence of one of the suspects to conduct additional examinations.

“During the recent trial lawyer of one of the parties had made a request for additional examinations. Because, in his opinion, some of the earlier examinations were of poor quality,” added Siskin.

He noted that the law on examination reserved from 3 to 30 days.

After receiving the results order to get acquainted with case materials, and it will be submitted to the court.

Siskin also said that in the case of an accident conducted more than 40 examinations, interrogated more than 100 people and accumulated more than 30 volumes of the case.


Recall, October 18, at nine o’clock in the evening on one of the Central streets of Kharkov there was a terrible accident – SUV Lexus RX 350, at the wheel which was 20-summer Elena Zaitseva, collided with the Volkswagen Touareg and rammed the crowd of people standing at the crosswalk.

As a result of incident five people were killed on the spot, another six were hospitalized. Later one of the injured died in hospital.
