The musical “La La land” (“La La Land”) by American Director Damien Chazelle was named best film at the British Academy of film and television arts (BAFTA), according to Reuters. Thus, the music tape met the expectations of film critics, who considered the work of Casella the main favorite of the ceremony.
“La La land” on Sunday also secured victories in other prestigious categories. So, actress Emma stone won the award in the category “Best female role”, and Lazell won the prize for “Best Director”. The film also received the “bronze mask” in the nominations “Best music” and “Best cinematography”.

Note that the picture is “La La land” was the leader on number of nominations – the film was immediately applied for 11 awards. Nine nominations received fantastic drama by canadian Director Denis Villeneuve’s “Arrival” and Thriller Tom Ford “Under cover of night”.
The lead actor in “La La Land” Ryan Gosling was considered the main contender in the category “Best male role”, but the award ultimately went to Casey Affleck an, who played the locksmith in the drama “Manchester by the sea.” Due to this role Ben Affleck has already received a Golden globe, the Directors Guild of the USA.
