The monument to Catherine II in Odessa will remain in place – the court

In Odessa administrative court of appeal refused to accept the decision on transfer of the monument to Catherine II (“the Founders of Odessa”).

Previously a public organization “Sich” was required to relocate the monument to the Potemkin to the site of the monument to Catherine II, reports the publication “Думская.net“.

Thus, the monument to Catherine II (“the Founders of Odessa”) remains in its place — Catherine square.

Note, in September last year, the Primorsky court invalidated the transfer of the monument to the Potemkin in the Customs area — 10 years after the filing of the claim.
