The mayor of Riga nil Ushakov was dismissed. This was reported in the statement of the Minister of regional development of Latvia Juris puce, which was published in the official newspaper “Latvijas Vēstnesis”.

“In accordance with article 93 of the Law “On local governments” I release Nile Ushakov from his duties as Chairman of the Riga Duma”, — said in the text.
In February it was reported that, despite the desire of the opposition to send Ushakov resigned, the politician managed to keep his job.
