As it was informed earlier, by decision of the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda the day of the funeral of the mayor is declared in the Republic’s national day of mourning. Since Tuesday mourning was announced in Gdansk, Sopot, Warsaw and several other Polish cities.

53-year-old activist died in a hospital Monday after the Sunday evening stab wounds that he suffered 27-the summer inhabitant of Gdansk, a few weeks ago released from prison. There he spent five years for robbing banks. The attack took place at a concert of charity Fund at a time when the mayor was on the stage.

In the evening on Monday in different cities of Poland were spontaneous rally in memory of tragically lost Governor. In Gdansk in the historic part of the city were about 16 thousand people.
