The health Ministry has mentioned the criteria to become a blood donor
KIEV. June 14. UNN. In order to become a blood donor, a person must meet certain criteria, in particular, to be over 18 and to restrict the use of certain products for a certain time before the procedure. About this UNN reports quoting the press service of the Ministry of health.
Therefore, in order to become a blood donor, a person must meet certain criteria:
- to be over 18 years of age
- weigh more than 50 kilograms
- do not consume alcohol for 48 hours
- not use drugs within 72 hours
- do not smoke for 2 hours before the procedure and 2-3 hours after,
- do not consume fatty, dairy products per day,
- to have at itself the document proving the identity,
- easy for Breakfast.
The health Ministry noted that sdavat blood and its components at COVID-19 safely.
The head of the Ministry Maxim Stepanov on June 14, when the international community celebrates world blood donor day, recalled that just yesterday, June 10, the government supported the initiative of the Ministry of health and addressed the issue of ensuring donor blood in Ukraine.
“The previous government had resolved the issue on the provision of donor blood in Ukraine. This applies both to General healthcare institutions and organizations in the structure of the SBU, interior Ministry and Ministry of defence. By this act we guarantee the provision of donor blood of all citizens of Ukraine. I want to appeal to all Ukrainians. Donate blood, become a donor. This is a very good thing. Because you put your blood can save someone’s life,” – said Maxim Stepanov.
Recall the CHP said that the number of blood donors in Ukraine is declining due to the pandemic.
