The Pechersky district court of Kiev chose a measure of restraint to the former Governor of Kharkiv region, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Mikhail Dobkin, who is accused of frauds with the earth. The court found him in custody, but was given 5 days to collect the Deposit of 50 million hryvnia (about RUB 115 mln). Dobkin on the Internet glorified attempt to write a campaign ad where his friend and colleague Gennady Kernes teaches him how to speak, and the future mayor of Kharkiv, complains of “a little bit retarded texts.”
As reported RNS, after the announcement of the decision of the court Dobkin has stated that he would not personally pay the pledge: “I pledge to make will not, I have no money. I personally. Now 5 days if the Deposit is not paid, then get ready to the worst option”. He pointed out that to pay the Deposit he would need to sell a house where children live: “I don’t see the point, for me, it’s demeaning to pay a Deposit for their freedom.”
The Prosecutor’s office asked the court to arrest Dobkin and assign the amount of the Deposit in the amount of not less than 150 million hryvnia (about 345 million rubles.).
