The foreign Ministry does not recognize the results of the “useless actions” in South Ossetia

The results of yesterday’s “presidential elections” in the temporarily occupied Russian territory of the Tskhinvali region of Georgia, as well as the results of the pseudo-referendum on renaming it “the Republic of South Ossetia – Alania government” in Kiev are not going to admit. This was referred to in the statement of the foreign Ministry.

“Such illegal actions, the March 12, 2017 so-called “parliamentary elections” in occupied Abkhazia region of Georgia, are a flagrant violation of international law and a constituent element of neo-Imperial policy of Russia, aimed at the destabilization and subjugation of the Eastern European States”, – stated in the message.

Ukraine reaffirms its commitment to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, said the foreign Minister, adding that to recognize the results “worthless activities” and any other misconduct of the Kremlin, the official Kyiv does not intend to.
