The court’s decision in the United States in the case of Mary Butynol, which was sentenced to 18 months in prison, is politically engaged. This was stated by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia.

“We regard the court’s decision in Washington to Butino sentenced to 18 months in prison as politically biased… She was the victim of a hard confrontation of different political forces of the USA”, — stated in comments on the Agency’s website.
It is emphasized that all charges against the Russian accusations are far-fetched and are “fabricated nature”.
In the foreign Ministry of Russia reminded that Butina was forced to incriminate himself under threat of the imposition of more severe penalties.
Earlier, the Russian Embassy in the United States called the verdict Butinai “flagrant lawlessness”.
Russian woman detained in July 2018 on suspicion “in Russia as an agent”.
She later went on to deal with the investigation.
