The community of St. Demetrius of Balta district of Odessa region announced the transition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The first community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Odessa region officially became part of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, reported “Диалог.UA”.

“The society of St. Demetrius Puzhaikove the village of Balta district of Odessa region announced the transition of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) the Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, – says the message.

Information appeared thanks to the press-Secretary of the Odessa-Balta eparchy father Theodore Orobets.

In particular, he noted that for this decision voted more than 300 people.

“The community has expressed a desire that the village was created the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Was the appropriate Protocol was signed, the paperwork was transferred to the Odessa regional state administration. At the Baptism, and today served in the village Church as a priest of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, – he stated.

We will remind, the Moscow Patriarchate is rapidly losing its parishes in Ukraine.

Earlier the baptism of the three communities of the UOC-MP in Zhytomyr moved to the PCU.
