The European Union urged Russia to cancel the sentence Umarova

The European Union confirmed that they do not recognize the illegal annexation of the Crimean Peninsula by Russia, and therefore do not recognize a “trial” over the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis Ilmi by Umarovi as his sentence. This is stated in the official statement of the foreign Ministry of the EU.

“All illegally detained citizens of Ukraine on the Crimean Peninsula in Russia must be released immediately” – call in the EU.

The document also says that the sentence Umarova is another example of the persecution of the Crimean Tatar Tatars in Crimea and confirms the serious deterioration of human rights on the Peninsula, as recently noted in the UN.

Earlier, the international human rights organization Amnesty International demanded to cancel the verdict Umarova.

September 27, the Kremlin-controlled so-called Simferopol district court today handed down the sentence Umarova two years of settlement colony.
