Following the statement of US President Donald trump that the American authorities should recognize the Golan as Israeli territory, the EU stated that it did not intend to recognize the Golan as Israeli sovereign territory.
This was announced by the representative of the diplomatic service of the EU Maya Kocijancic, RIA Novosti reported.
“The EU position has not changed. The European Union in accordance with international law does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the territories occupied since June 1967,” said Kucinich.

The European official said that these areas include the Golan heights, which the EU does not intend to consider part of the territory of Israel.
