In Thailand detained a 34-year-old Russian Anton Bogdanov agreed to voluntary extradition to the United States, where he faces up to 50 years in prison for multiple criminal counts related to the use of computer technology. Anton Bogdanov was detained at the airport of Phuket on 28 November 2018. That day he had to leave Thailand, where together with his partner, spent 12 days as tourists. The detention of the Russians was attended by the FBI of the United States.
The Russian Embassy in Thailand claimed to have the situation with Bogdanov under special control.
