The court questioned eight witnesses in the case of Odessa “Crane”
KIEV. 26 Feb. UNN. In Malinovsky district court of Odessa questioned 8 witnesses in criminal proceedings for the acquisition of 185 million hryvnias upon purchase of the building of the former factory “region”. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office, reports UNN.
“February 26, 2019 with the participation of the prosecutors of SAP in Malinovsky district court of Odessa continued the trial on the case against the mayor and others accused of misappropriation of 185 million hryvnias of means of the local budget for the purchase of a building of the former factory “region”. During the trial were interviewed 8 witnesses claimed by the prosecution”, – is spoken in the message.
The next meeting was scheduled for 10:40 on 27 February 2019. It is expected that it will continue questioning witnesses.
Earlier it was reported that Malinovsky district court of Odessa questioned four witnesses in the case of a taking of 185 million UAH from the local budget for the purchase of a building of the former factory “region”.
We will remind, on February 13 the court in the case of the Odessa plant “region” explored the evidence for the prosecution. February 14 was scheduled to start questioning witnesses.
On suspicion in Commission of crime the individuals reported on 13 February 2018. While four of them (officials of the Odessa city Council) – in the order determined by article 135, 278 of the Criminal procedural code of Ukraine (misappropriation of another’s property by abuse of official position), because at that time their whereabouts were unknown.
A day later at the international airport “Borispol” of the Odessa city mayor and his Deputy were detained.
