As UNIAN reported earlier, on 18 September 2017 the Ilyichevsky city court has acquitted 19 defendants in the case about mass riots on may 2, 2014 in Odessa. On the same day in Chernomorsk acquitted by the court two defendants in the case – Ukrainian Sergei Dolzhenkova known as Captain Cocoa, and Russia’s Evgeny Nefedovo reported about suspicion in separatism, they were detained.

In January 2018, the Prosecutor’s office of Odessa region announced the completion of an investigation against these defendants and sent to the Kyiv district court of Odessa the indictment. Dolzhenkov and Meadow are now in jail.

April 20, 2018 at a briefing in Odessa, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that at present, has completed the investigation of other episodes in the “may 2”, which relate to other suspects arrested later.

According to him, new episodes can also send to the court of Nikolaev for combining with the main case in which in 2017 Illichivsk trial was acquitted.
