KIEV. 14 Nov. UNN. Malinovsky district court of Odessa began hearing the indictment in criminal proceedings on charges of misappropriation of budgetary funds by the mayor Gennady Trukhanov in collusion with a group of people, reports UNN.

“The panel of judges announces the start of the trial in these criminal proceedings, the Procurator takes the floor for the announcement of the indictment”, – says the decision of the panel of judges.

It should be noted that at the request of the lawyers of the accused the indictment read out in full.

At the beginning of the trial the prosecution said the civil suit about compensation for damages caused by the defendants of the Odessa territorial community, but the court denied the motion and returned to the Prosecutor “in connection with discrepancy of a civil action the laws of Ukraine”.

We will remind, Gennady Trukhanov is one of the 8 defendants in the case of the plant “region”. According to NABU, the Odessa city Council purchased the building for 185 million in private structures, which, in turn, in early 2016 paid for this complex in the auction of 11.5 million.
