The corresponding decision of the Verkhovna Rada Committee was approved unanimously
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on human rights, national minorities and interethnic relations adopted a decision to register the proposed non-governmental organizations, the draft law on the legalization of medical use of marijuana. The decision was taken unanimously at a meeting on may 15.
The Chairman of the Committee, member of the faction “Batkivshchyna” Hryhoriy Nemyria noted that this is a precedent when the Committee decides on the outcome of the consideration of e-petitions “to regulate cannabis for science and medicine to protect the constitutional rights of citizens”, which gathered more than 25 thousand votes of support.
Member of the faction of political party “people’s front” George Legwinski explained that the working group supported the initiative of the authors of this petition.
“The decision of the working group, which we accepted, was as follows: we submit the bill, which was adopted in the first reading, taken from that base, we will continue to consider what is the vision of development of this direction”, — said the MP.

The document titled “draft law on the right to life” aimed at providing patients access to drugs based on medical marijuana.
We will remind, on March 20, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights has supported the e-petition on the legislative settlement of medical cannabis, scored on the Parliament website more than 25 thousand votes. The petition was supported by all present Committee members.
Previously elected President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky made for the legalization of medical marijuana.
