The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft decree of the President of Ukraine about dismissal of Maxim Stepanov as head of the Odessa regional state administration, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“The Cabinet approved the dismissal,” — said the press Secretary of the Prime Minister Vasyl Ryabchuk after a government meeting on Wednesday.

Ryabchuk also added that the Cabinet also approved the dismissal of the head of the Kherson regional state administration Andrey Gordeev according to the letter of resignation at own will.

“It was agreed his resignation”, — said Mykola Riabchuk.

We will remind, on 8 April, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko by his decree dismissed the Chairman of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov. The duties of the head of administration Poroshenko laid on the head of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko” in the Odessa regional Council Sergey Parashchenko.

Then Stepanov accused Poroshenko of abuse of power. Later, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Sayenko said that the government took no action regarding the removal Stepanova from the position of head of the Odessa regional administration.

In turn appointed the acting head of the Odessa regional state administration Parashchenko expressed readiness to fulfill assigned to him by the head of state obligations.

On April 9, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has received the submission from the President P. Poroshenko on the dismissal of Maxim Stepanov as head of the Odessa regional state administration.

As previously reported, on April 6 the head of the Kherson regional state administration Andrey Gordeev, who is associated with the murder of Catherine Gandzyuk, wrote a letter of resignation to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

On 8 April, the Deputy Chairman of Kherson regional state administration Eugene Reduc, which is also associated with the murder of the activist Catherine Gandzyuk, wrote a letter of resignation.
