The British Minister said relations with Ukraine after Brexit

KIEV. September 14. UNN. After Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union’s relations with London and Kiev “will only change for the better.” On Saturday said the Minister for European Affairs of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of great Britain Christopher Pincher, reports UNN with reference to Radio Liberty.

“Relations between Ukraine and the United Kingdom may change after Brexit, but only for the better. We want to build strong, deep relations with Ukraine in the sphere of trade, security and culture. And I think, when we go out and agree a bilateral agreement with Ukraine, our relations will continue to improve,” said Pincher.

According to him, Ukraine has an important position in Europe. “This is a new front line. So I wanted to come and say to the people of Ukraine: we support you in your endeavors, prosperity, freedom, transparency, and against any form of external threat,” added the British official.

He expressed the hope that Britain reaches agreement with EU Brexit and out of the European Union on 31 October with the agreement, or without.

Recently, Queen Elizabeth II signed a law prohibiting the British government on the implementation of Brexit without an agreement with the European Union and without the approval of the legislators. The law obliges the government to seek to reach agreement with the EU at the European Council meeting on 18 October.

In case of rejection of this request by Brussels, the Prime Minister should seek a postponement Brexit until 31 January 2020.

We will remind, earlier the President Zelensky met with the British Ambassador, discussed the relationship after Brexit.
