The body of a newborn baby found in Odessa

ODESSA-KIEV. April 15. UNN. The boy’s body was found by the CSW staff at the entrance to the basement of one of the houses on the street Mechnikov in Odessa. Reported in GU NP in Odessa region, reports UNN.

“On a place of incident left investigatory-operative group. Conducted necessary investigative actions. The presence of the placenta and amniotic fluid indicates that the baby was born in this place. His body is directed on is judicial-medical examination to determine the cause of death, ” police said.

Information about this event is entered in eRDR, preliminary under article 117 (premeditated murder mother of the newborn child) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to 5 years.

Currently operational activities are carried out aimed at establishing the identity of the mother. The investigation is continuing.
