Fans of the Russian team in today’s qualifying match of Euro 2020, against Kazakhstan (4:0) on the podium, “Astana Arena” hung a banner dedicated to the events of 20 years ago in Yugoslavia.
The inscription in Serbian on the stretch of the fans said, “will never forget 24.03.1999”.
UEFA delegate Konul Mehdiyeva, according to TASS, said after the game that the Protocol banner was not fixed.

“UEFA are not fixed in the Protocol banner of the national team of Russia. However, the organization reserves the right to consider the incident in case of violations,” said Mehdiyev.
As reported in telegram channel journalist Vasily Konov, “UEFA is in working order, will review the situation with a political banner in the Russian sector.”
Note, 24 March 1999 commenced the bombing of Yugoslavia in the framework of the NATO operation, which lasted until 10 June 1999.
